Woo, I made it, thank you Lord. The 39th year is complete. Now starting my 40th year of operation. My 39th year was beautifully brutal. I think I learned more about myself this year. I learned more about my flaws.
This year of life I spent time in the hospital, and I spent time in Hawaii. This year of life I rediscovered my wife. This year of life I was challenged to be an effective leader. This year of life I set goals. This year of life I realized I how far I have to go.
I started this website to chart my journeys and quite frankly I haven't logged enough of my feelings. I switched jobs again for the 3rd year in a row. I want to stop playing goldilocks with my career and I hope I've finally found a proper fit for my skills and talent. This year I started playing my trombone again, its not a joyous sound yet, but I think I can get there.
This year I realized how much I miss my family, I guess it gets harder as I get older since I realize how finite life is. During these times of year, my wife and her family do a great job of filling in. But its never quite the same. With parents in the south, a sister in Europe, and another sister on the West Coast. Our time together has been brief and far apart.
So how am I kicking off my 40th year? I start a journey to Montreal with several other photographers to participate in a workshop focusing on fashion. Look for #7BillionStories on Instagram/Facebook/twitter as we will be sharing our creations.
I plan on other adventures this year, I'd like to participate in autocross events. I'd like to complete some of the projects in my house during my 40th year. At the end of this 40th year, I would like to say I've seen all my family. These are my birthday wishes.
Peace and Love
