We are doing some remote dog sitting this weekend. Interesting seeing the different personality of dogs. The dog that we are watching this weekend is normally a high energy puppy, tonight, not so much. He was missing his pack. When we first got there he was just scary and hiding in the back of his crate. Embarrassed that I couldn't even coax him out with treats we called our friends. They gave us some advice in slightly tipping the crate. Well that did the trick. He came out, but still really leery to the situation. It took a while but eventually we got him to go outside and do his business. The next trick was getting him to eat. We put his bowl out, he had no cares about that. Eventually I picked up one morsel and he ate it out of my hand. We put some on the floor and he ate it. But he refused to eat out of his bowl. So strange. Again after some time, he finally did the right thing and ate out of his bowl. Job accomplished. We are debating bringing him home and seeing if he gets along with Buttercup so he's not alone.
